April entries / Programme Empty April entries / Programme

Post by Diana Tue Mar 22, 2016 8:51 pm

Yesterday the printer told me that they are on holiday when they would normally be printing the programme. So I need to do the programme early - so be WARNED - I will be setting the race order Wednesday the 30th. If any Race Group has not achieved 6 entries by then, they will be put somewhere else, or returned (in the case of the sidecars, actually quite impressed to have 3 entries, all filled in and with payment just now).

Scores on the Doors at 22nd March:-

    Lightweights               15
    F125 & PCJ                 13 (11 F125's)
    Superbikes                  10
    PI12-CB500-PCS          10 (4 CB500's and 1 Ducati)
    PI-600                         9
    Stock 600                    7
    Sidecar                       3

    Hello,

When I saw the 1 ducati I thought I better ask. I have a DesmoDue bike 600ss frame with a 620 monster engine in it. Would that go into Scottish Lightweights? Or would it go in a different class?

    Thanks for the help.

Andy, CB500 guys reckon they are better placed to race with them, as they are lower powered than the Lightweights. I hadn't put them in the Lightweights in the numbers.

Ok cool. Do you know what colour and background number that is the them?

And for a Saturday only I was told it's £110. Is that correct?

    £110 for Saturday only.
You'll need to ask some of the guys that have them on plate colours, not one I have come across before. You have been tagged into a thread on the CB500s Racing In Scotland Group on Facebook. Join it and ask.

    Magic thanks.

I also checked the ACU handbook after being told off for the Gopro on m bike and it said

    "Section 8.1.13

The carrying of on board cameras is only permitted with the prior approval, in writing of the clerk of the course. The installation of the camera must be approved by the chief technical officer."

But it didnt seem like there was a lot of enthusiasm for them? Can I still write to the clerk of the course?

No you can't Andy, or you can, but he'll say no. No cameras allowed on bikes.

Post by Rgvloopy Thu Mar 24, 2016 10:00 pm

    Hi
I'm trying to fill out the entry central form but doesn't allow for paying to hire a transponder .Do I just pay the entry online and pay transponder on the day
    Thanks
    John Beattie

    John,
Pay for transponder on the day, Entry Central doesn't take payment for it. Never thought to add it.

    Hi Diane,

I posted of my entry off on friday morning. I didn't put a transponder number or saying I needed to hire one as I thought I had bought one. I'm not sure if I will have it in time. So could you put me down to hire one please?

AMB 260 was the old one - Red in colour. Yellow or orange ones won't work unless you go slow!

X2 is the new name and shape for them - I have no holders for these as I don't have them. You'll get supplied with one when you buy one.

If you are new, I have pessimisstically assumed you will need to hire a transponder.

No, as hinted above, PI1200 are now with the PreInjection 600s. I have messed up and not taken the PI1200 numbers of the PCS-CB500 race though - oops.

There wasn't many PI-600's, so it made sense to balance the races up a bit. Plus it stopped 2 riders having to go back to back. No race order worked for everyone.

Sorry Andy, my laptop was at EF first thing on friday, and didn't go into internet (never seemed to stop from half 6 in the morning til gone 7 at night).

Yes, you can leave passes at gate. I collect and give to the gate marshal before they go up in the mornings, or you can go up yourself.
