It's been a while, mostly due to me being banned from Work Party attendance - November through to March.

Most Sundays the workparty tackles routine jobs now, after the circuit is in 'set-up' mode for the race season.

Fixing things. Cutting Grass. Weedkilling. Getting the facility ready for the next 'hire'. Fixing tyres walls, adding to tyre walls etc.

Any help is gratefully received, and we do tend to keep the tedious jobs to ourselves - like tidying the office, stocking loos.

Nothing big left to tackle through the season, well unless something unexpected...

Sad news on Sunday night. Dice, Dave Pate's Sprocker Spaniel or I guess more Sandy's growing up dog, was put to sleep yesterday at the grand old age of 15. Gundog extraordinaire.

More obediant than any Paton child, and now grandchild. He once dragged out a length of drain pipe from the old static caravan down the bottom of the paddock, interesting smells and all that. When told to put it back, he did. To the amazement of DP.

And there was the story of him getting sent to the pooch parlour for a hair cut. The premises had to phone and say he'd disappeared....

Not been so good at doing a blog this year. We have been there, although I doubt some of you noticed much difference from 2014, other than the benches aren't out yet.

It was nice to see a lot of old and new faces over the weekend.

Still to work through the pile of entries received on Sunday, I'll be posting out passes for the April event by Wednesday at the latest.

Rumour has it, there will be a mega Pre-Injection grid. Entries will be handled on a first come, first served basis, for all classes.

Will try and keep up to date numbers as the days progress.

Well, we are on the slippery slope now towards 15th March when we host Marshal's Training. Then the next again week is the Training (except we aren't meant to call it training now) Day and Practice Day.

East Fortune looking very green. The unseasonal mildness has meant there's not dying off of grass. This past 2 weekends DP has been busy applying Jeyes Fluid to the circuit to kill moss, also in the paddock. Had a new sprayer to set up and test yesterday, that should improve application and reduce the amount we are using.

Date Plates ready to get the new numbers stuck on -...

I'm afraid family committments have kept me away from EF, mostly. However, DP has shared the work party experience (frequently) by telephone.

DP has been busy doing more plumbing, and general tinkering out of the windy blasts. Bob Davies has been seeing what's in the cable store and is going to work through getting a set of spare cables and boxes to stop any breakage not being a crisis at an event.

the former MX caravan has had a 'changing rooms' makeover by a band of helpful marshals into a flat bed trailer. All the stuff we didn't want/need neatly folded into the skip. The...

Lots of weeds and muck we had left (in hope they'd blow away) from between the concrete panel seams lifted. Job Flags hung up, out of the mice's reach.

DP fixed a few door handles, not a brilliant job when it's really cold, and fixed some plumbing stuff too.

Hi Everyone,

first of all thanks to Sam to creating this wee site to give everyone an instant voice again.

So, at East Fortune we are now prepared for Winter!

Paddock free of white spacers, all the wooden furniture now under cover.
Tannoy dismantled.
Water run off.
All the important electricals tucked up warm in DP's house.
Banners all down.

We are trying to get the Council to measure 1st Esses for a new surface.

thanks to everyone that's helping John Ross, Richard Stanbury, Arthur Fulton, Mark and David Ward and Bert and...
